Am I Really Happy?

"I'd rather be unhappy then live a lie of happiness"- quote by me

I've been thinking a lot about my life until now. The saying above is one that I came up with just a few days ago and I believe that it really truly represents what I have gone through and what I want for myself in result of it. It is a really personal message I want to share with everyone who reads my blogs, and although at the moment I do not wish to share my whole life story, I'd like to hear your thoughts and philosophy on it.

  1. I believe true happiness come from the heart. If you have a free and loving heart you can find happiness and even in tough times its still there. If you have a free mind and a clean conscience and forgive people and don’t hold grudges against people you will find happiness. That where I believe it’s from. Another option is to seek god. He is also true happiness.

  2. I agree happiness comes from the heart. And the quote is good but if your not happy all you have to do is get rid of what makes you unhappy. Unless it's something that you have to learn to live with.

  3. Agreed, happiness comes from the heart, and you are the only one who can unleash it. More important it's who makes you happy and what they do. You have a good quote there, but i disagree with it in some cases. As to why you would want to be unhappy, why live in sorrow. You have one life, might as well live it with happiness in any sort of way you can find it.

  4. I feel unhappy A LOT. The past few months I've been straight depressed and its hard to deal with. Even getting up in the morning is hard to do. But some days I can force my self to throw my head back, smile and walk with my head high. I try it everyday but only some days does it actually work and make me feel better. Even when everything is going wrong, I have a little beach in my head where I go to and try to put everything else out for 5 minutes and sometimes it works and I come back to reality able to deal with everything in a new light.

  5. I always manage to smile and be happy all the time. I sometimes wish i would just act sad for once because that's how I really feel. But I'm not sad all the time, I'm generally happy. Just these last few days...

  6. I agree with your quote. What's the point in acting like your happy when you're really not? Sure it would be nice if we all had smiles plastered to our faces but what does that prove? We're not actors/actresses and we shouldn't be expected to act like one. High school is a very hard time in a teenagers life, a lot of transitions to deal with. Society expects to be unhappy. The best thing we could do is just talk with people who have similar problems or just anyone who will listen.
